May 16th Tucson AZ...My Graduation party!!!

well its almost here!! I have 8 days of Fire Academy left!!!

May 16th @ 18:30 I get "pinned" with my badge and get my station assignment!

it's been a hard road with a few injuries along the way, but I made it through!

I MAY be playing my bagpipes in the ceremony ( and wearing a kilt) but its still up in the air, as soon as I know I will post on it.

AFTER the ceremony will be the graduation party. I plan on making an apperance at the " fox and hound" with my classmates and then it's off to the Auld Dubliner to party with my friends!

I figure 21:00 will be a good start time. I WILL be wearing a kilt there and hope anyone who can make it will do the same!

    help me celebrate!!!

    Congratulations!
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Congratulations, be safe and watch the veterans.

That is fantastic. I used to listen to the Tucson Fire scanner here in Fort Riley Kansas, a busy city.

Congrats KFP! That's awesome. You'll have to get some pictures of the ceremony if possible. Wish I could head down for the evenin but we've got plans that weekend already. Have a good time, and be safe!

I will be in Tucson that day to watch my mother graduate with her Masters from the UofA. May I note that I will be kilted as well. Congrats! You never know, I may show up to congratulate you in person. Thank you for all the work you and brothers provide to all of us.

Congratulations that is quite an accomplishment. I graduated from the correctional officer training academy in Tucson in 1987, I know how hard it is and how good it feels to get pinned. Don't think I can make Tucson that weekend but will be there in spirit and will hoist a pint to you where ever I am.

I'll be showing a little earlier at the Auld Dub for some dinner if anyone wants around 8ish.
Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders I yet have heard, it seems to me most strange that men should fear; seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come. --William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar
