    Raleigh/Durham Kilt night

Since I'll be moving up to NC in May, I was wondering if there would be any interest in a kilt night in the Triangle area. Would love to meet some of you guys. Anyone interested?

I might only have one, but I'm in. I'm always up for alcohol, and hell it's another excuse to wear it.

The population of Ladies From Hell will be one greater when I move back to the Durham area.

I will be down there with a bunch of other friends in mid-October. We're thinking of doing an Irish pub night on 10/14 in Raleigh. I expect at least three of us will be kilted for that (two of those three being from Xmarks, and one of those two being me).

I am down in that area a few times a year so we'll definitely have to hook up for a few pints after you've moved.

that's awesome, you guys. Magnus...when will you be moving back?

October, as it stands now, is free on my calendar.

Probably summer of 2006. That's when my contract in Philly is up.

I've got some undeveloped property down there, a healthy amount of acreage about half an hour outside of Durham, and hope to build a house there next year to live in.

With luck, if he's not deployed, I'm hoping to finally meet Iñaki in person. I've been building a friendship with him and his girlfriend over on Multiply and steered him to Xmarks when he started showing interest in wearing the kilt. And for his part, he's inspired me to take a stab at learning to speak Spanish this year.

Indeed, if im not on board the USS Enterprise, I will be there in October. Its gonna be very interesting. I think a kilted night at an Irish pub is mandatory that weekend, even if its only a few of us kilted, we'll make the statement. Who's with us?!?!?!

not to break into the conversation, but what do you all mean by the 'triangle'?

and the reason i ask. my paternal direct genealogical line begins in Granville County, NC. Within shouting distance of Oxford along the banks of Aarons Creek, to be exact. In and amongst several trips this year, I plan on doing a genealogy run to Granville County.

and of course being who i am, i'm always up for a pub.

    thanks

The "Triangle" refers to the area of Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill NC. It's named the triangle because if you were to draw lines between the three cities, it looks like a triangle. It's also now known for Triangle Research Park, which is a huge technology park in the area.
