Somebody mentions 'Burns Night' and I think, "Hrm, that's only 1.5 hours by air..."
Hopefully the NY rabble will have one this year.
"To the make of a piper go seven years of his own learning, and seven generations before. At the end of his seven years one born to it will stand at the start of knowledge, and leaning a fond ear to the drone he may have parley with old folks of old affairs." - Neil Munro

I'm confirming that the MENU will be the same as last year, with a COOKED haggis this time...for the address fer sure. Hope many can make it. Dining room will hold 20. If we're more, we can slide into the room next door. Looking forward to it.

Here is what I've come up with for the menu/program this year, I am very much looking forward to this.

OK well I look at the calendar and Burns Night is drawing nigh so SOKS who is definitely doing what? As I've said I should like to recite Tam O'Shanter. please list what you would be willing to do. I'd also like a rough idea of numbers so that I may get the menu's printed up. Thanks guys, this is the big one for the year lets make it even better than last year.

I was reminded earlier today when I saw this cartoon:

I'm still in for a poem or two (one of which is My Heart's In The Highlands, coincidentally ), and I'm willing to be the back-up for the Immortal Memory.
I am easily moved for sympathy for dogs, far more so than for humans, because dogs do not understand. There is no way to explain that you will return, that the vet will make it all better, that they cannot go shooting today because that is not what today is about. They cannot work out that their misery is finite and will some time end, and so their misery is magnified.

OK guys I've got Tam O'Shanter memorized and I'm really looking forward to this. What concerns me is that we've not heard from everyone, I for one would like this years to be even better than last year as it is the 250th anniversary of Robert Burns birth. So what say you SOKS and anyone else in the Southern Ontario region, will you be attending?
