SOKS Late August Early September Kilt Night
After the deluge that was the Fergus Highland Games this year I was wondering id the members of SOKS and any others in the area would be up for a Kilt Night for the end of August/begining of September. What say you?
As an aside if anyone else will be in town for Labour Day I will again be attending the Scottish Studies Foundation boat cruise on the Empire Sandy I have tickets for the afternoon cruise, if anyone is interested in this, there are two sailings: 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Tickets purchased in advance are $20 for adults and $5 for children (15 and under)
or $25 and $8 respectively if purchased on the day.

I'd be interested.
I think we may also go on the boat cruise but it's my son's birthday party in the afternoon so we'd have to go on the morning one. Thanks for that info. I didn't know about it.

Well, I know it's a bit of a short notice, but the Buffalo Irish Festival is this coming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

If Labour Day is on the same date as Labor Day (sorry, small joke there), I'm pretty sure I'm working.
I am easily moved for sympathy for dogs, far more so than for humans, because dogs do not understand. There is no way to explain that you will return, that the vet will make it all better, that they cannot go shooting today because that is not what today is about. They cannot work out that their misery is finite and will some time end, and so their misery is magnified.

I could be up for something next week, Monday to Thursday (Aug 25 - 28th) ... family is gone to the lake, I'm working, then heading back up for the weekend, so my evenings are free.

I'm out - working nights that week.
