    Visiting the Raleigh, NC area

I'm going to be driving to North Carolina, in Chapel Hill near Raleigh, and staying for a week and a half to help a friend move in. In fact, it's the friend that gave me my first kilt. While I'm down there, I want to show her I'm not the only guy that isn't full blood Scot that wears a kilt, her main objection, and I'd like to meet a few others besides the guy from brotherhood of the kilt that came into my work one day.

I'll be there from the 1st to the 8th, but a few days rest after driving down from Massachusetts would be a good idea. Other than that, any ideas? I'd have to double check to make sure it'd be possible since she's starting a new job sometime, but other than that, I'm up for just about anything.

    Adam.

Adam, do you have dates yet? There is Tir Na Nog in Raleigh. We have had a kilt night there before. Let us know the dates and lets see who can make it.

I have to come up to the Triangle for an appointment at Duke on Aug 1 and have surgery scheduled for Aug 3, so could meet evening of Aug 1 or 2. Will be staying in N Raleigh so Tir Na Nog would work for me.

Well, I talked with my friend. It looks like the second would be the best. Now we'd just have to figure out a good time.

If you come further south (like, say, Charlotte area), I could meet up with ya.

Concord is only a 2 hour drive from my house.

i should be free on the 2nd.

adam, where around Chapel Hill will you be? depending, that can actually be a sorta long drive to Tir Na Nog, especially during rush-hour... just saying, as a heads-up. i live in knightdale and work in cary, so Tir Na Nog is great for me.

    brian, where in north raleigh?

perhaps we can turn this into another kilt-night.

I'm going to be up Falls of the Neuse Rd near Ravenscroft School, so anywhere downtown would work for me.

McWage, thanks for bringing it up with Brotherhood of the Kilt, I forgot about them.
I actually don't know where in Chapel Hill I'll be, since this will be my first time there. She said it's about a half hour drive, so about the same as my work commute. Not a problem there.

Not knowing the times or area, what is a good time to go?
