This Weekend's Colorado Scottish Festival

Since I'm new to the kilt wearing activities, what should one consider wearing to a festival and Highland Games in the middle of the summer to accompany the kilt? I don't have a ghillie shirt. Any other ideas?

Ghillie shirts are silly shirts, unless you're in costume. Just wear what you would normally wear with trousers. I have been known to go to events wearing Iron Maiden tour shirts with my kilt! Remember, it's just clothing. I will wearing a costume shirt myself... but then again, I'm in the Renaissance Scots, and it's expected that members be in Renaissance attire.

I agree with Steve. Unless you're at a formal event where highland attire is required, t-shirts are perfectly acceptable.
