    About time I said hello..

Greetings from a wild & wet Argyll!

Been lurking around for a few weeks now, so thought it was time to do the decent thing and introduce myself.

I've been wearing the kilt since I was a bairn, though mainly just for the usual dress-up occasions over the last few years. After my father died last summer I inherited his old Buchanan kilt and decided to try it as my main hillwalking garb. It's so comfortable that I've found it becoming my normal leisure wear - though not when travelling on 2 wheels
My current favourite however is my recently acquired 18oz ex-MOD Black Watch kilt - so much more swish than either of my Buchanans (16oz & 13oz-I think).

Another XMarker from the Argyll joins our ranks, GREAT! You may want to drop in on Redshanks here who lives in Kilmartin. My surname is Malcolm and I have visited our Chief Robin at Duntrune. Planning to be back in July.

Welcome from Eastern Washington State. 18oz kilts sure are wonderful, you ought to try 22oz kilts too.
