HI to all you highlanders, my name is Anita Armsrtong, I have just joined, I have just started to do my family tree and want to know as much as possible about my ansisters, I have got as far as 1819 when my gt gt gt grandfather came from Scotland to Rochdale, his name is William Armstrong, he married Agness Armstrong from the same clan around 1840, I am trying to trace my Scotish herritage, It is very exciting, I think we are from Langholm and even might be realated to Johnnie Armstrong, you never know, I will keep you posted, bye for now. xxx

Langholm is the heart of Armstrong country. Anita, I wish you luck with your genealogy research. You might want to visit the Hawick Heritage Hub where all the old family records for the Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway are held.
