Appalachian American
Greetings from the Great Southern State of Alabama, the Heart of Dixie and the southern terminus of the Appalachian mountain range. Hillbilly's and rednecks they call us but it's our Scottish roots that run the deepest. I identify myself with Clan Graham being a descendent of William Graham signer of the Mecklinburg Declaration of Independence.
I love hearin the bagpipes on dark nights and foggy morns. I'm called to remember my ancestors. Interestingly, being Appalachian American I trace my family's tree and over and over see the marrying and inter-marrying of Scottish ancestors so much so that there is hardly a man left in Scotland itself with as much Scot blood.

If all else fails, I will retreat up the Valley of Virginia plant my flag on the Blue Ridge, rally around the Scottish-Irish of that region and make my last stand for liberty amongst a people who will never submit to British tyranny whilst there is a man left to draw a trigg."~~ Gen. George Washington

Greetings from the Gulf Coast of Florida. Ah, Dixie. My family's all from the Deep South, mostly Georgia, but I love going through Alabama. That's a beautiful state. And yeah, celtic blood is well represented in the South. Check out Cracker Culture by Grady McWhiney. Its an interesting read.
