    AZ Newbie

    Hi All,

I found this site via google. Currently I don't own any kilts, but I plan on changing that within the next month. Any advice on choosing a kilt is appreciated.

I'm German from both sides of the family, but since kilts are cheaper than lederhosen...

Cead mille failte, from just down south!

Check out stillwater, they've got very affordable wool kilts.

My wife has forbidden me from buying any lederhosen. Had a pair when I was about six - couldn't wear them out. Now I can't wear 'em ; )

Welcome from Michigan Try USA Kilts, they could make you a kilt in German-American tartan.

Welcome from Chandler Arizona as well. I live at Fibber Magee's Irish Pub on Dobson and Elliot MANY days a week.

I run a group here in the valley The Sonoran Scotsmen, we're a group of over 80 members that get together about once a month in our kilts and go out and do fun stuff like, kickball, putt putt golf, bowling, drinking, charity events, etc.

If you're interested in coming out sometime and having a pint you can either watch for posts here on Xmarks or you can join our Yahoo chat group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SonoranScotsmen/

As for buying a kilt, it all depends on how much you're looking to spend. What price range are you looking at. We all know places where you can buy a kilt from $30 - $1000.

    Welcome!

Welcome to the group. If it's kilt information you desire, here is where to obtain it.

Welcome from the San Francisco Bay Area!

Being of German decent, you might want to take a look at these tartans (both very nice IMHO):

Hello and a warm Celtic from Boston, Massachusetts.

The sponsors of this board all have kilt options. The German American tartan is good looking, and Rocky can sew one up to fit you in reasonably short order, after he and Kelly return to work from a "working" vacation.(USA Kilts)

For a kilt in record setting time Stillwater Kilts. Jerry's time warp delivery system is of legends. Be prepared, if you click "submit" on his website, for the kilt to be at the door instantly.
