Central Tennessee Valley
Greetings to all,
My name is Martin McLean and I live in the entral Tennessee Valley.
My Great Grandfather was born in Bothwell Parish, Lanarkshire, Scotland in 1845.
My grandfather belonged to the Scottish Rite, and would wear his kilt to his "meetings". I am told, he would wear his kilt and play the pipes in the local parades.
My father never embraced his Scottish heritage, but we still hired a piper to play at his funeral.
So, here am I.
Looking to my Scottish past, in hopes of finding something to pass along to my (now grown) children. Something that they might take with them into their future.

Welcome from the Oregon Coast! I'm a newbie, too.
Your childrens' heritage has begun with you. Thinking of what you can give them, a part of their heritage, shows how much you love them, and that is the richest heritage of all!
Cheers, Jocelyn
