Cheers from Florida
Long time listener, first time caller. I'm Sharon, from OMG-It's-40-Degrees-Outside-And-I-Need-To-Move-Further-South, Florida. I'm an old school sewer, an avid knitter, and a newphyte weaver. I'll mostly be scoping the DIY forums for kilt-making tips and ideas, as I'd like to make a couple of kilts for my husband.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

from Boston, Massachusetts, where it has been awfully hot as of late, the temps will not go below 20f.
The D.I.Y. Forum is great for tips. I have sewn five kilts for myself thus far. I have fabric awaiting me for more. Barbara Tewksbury has a wonderful guide called "The Art of Kiltmaking" It is top notch, and she has been on this board sharing techniques freely for some time now....
Enjoy the rabble.

You are a wonderful woman, and I hope your husband appreciates what he has!
Welcome aboard from Conyers, GA. I hope you find what you're looking for since you husband already has. You'll find more expertise here than the law allows, so just jump in and soak it up. If you can't find it here, you don't need it.
