    greeting from a noob :)

    Hello all!

I'd like to say that I've been trolling this board for about a week now and it has one of the nicest communities I've seen on a board. That being said, a little about me...

I've been a kilt admirer for many years and I always said to myself "I really need to get one of those." The problem was that all the kilts I had seen were $300+ and I just couldn't see spending that kind of money on something I may not like. Then I stumbled onto this board and saw the links for entry-level economy kilts (complete with reviews, thank you) and finally took the plunge last week. As a former Marine, I saw the USMC tartan kilt at SWK and decided I just had to have it. My kilt came in today and now I am asking myself why I waited so long to get one. It took a little getting used to but WOW... is it the pinnacle of comfort or what? Not to mention the fact that several women here at work who haven't said two words to me in the last year have pulled me aside to mention how hot I look.

I would like to thank everyone here for being so helpful (albeit unknowingly) in introducing me to the joy of kilt-wearing. I can't wait to get a few more.

    Semper Fi!

    Welcome aboard.

If it helps any I've got pics of my hand sewn leatherneck in my albums with different colored kilt hose. Kinda fun to play around.

    Welcome!

And when you spend a few hours reading this forum you're no longer a noob. Whole tribes wear their kilt and related gear completly wrong for years without even having a clue.
