    Greetings from another new member

I stumbled across the forum when I started researching kilts when I took up piping 3 years ago. Now that I'm close to constructing my first kilt, I joined the site to make searching posts easier. I'm absolutely fascinated with the double boxed pleat design and think this will be the first kilt I tackle. When my tartan arrives, I promise to post pics and details of my kilt making adventure... and probably questions as well. Love the discussions, particularly the ones about women in kilts. I am one of those women who wear the kilt in a band, for competing and at ceilidhs.

    Welcome.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Welcome aboard! If you haven't already, have a look at Barb's book, The Art of Kiltmaking (celticdragonpress.com).

    It's the bible of kiltmaking.
