Greetings from Highlands!

Highlands, Texas, that is...and a misnomer at that, being all of 36' above sea level!

I've been lurking for awhile, reading and learning about all of the stuff I've been doing wrong, and figuring out which of those I'm willing to fix.

The wealth of information available on this site is astounding, as is the talent I see in the DIY section!

I've worn the great kilt for several years now (Gunn Ancient with cheater pleats from Celtic Croft) with my Craigie belt/sporran/flashes and I recently received a pair of knee-high boots from Mystic Soles that go very well with it. Up until now, I've made do with a plain black UK while I'm doing errands and working in my wood shop. But I finally broke down and ordered a semi-trad from Rocky since the Arlington games are fast approaching and a great kilt and 110 degree weather just don't mix well.

I look forward to continuing my education here, and to meeting a few of you at the upcoming games in Arlington! The wife and I will be there all three days!

Welcome from the far north of Scotland and I am only 41 meters above sea level. (we have to use this french stuff for measuring, never could fathom it out, I prefer good old feet and inches)
