| | | Greetings from La Antigua Guatemala !!
I have recently become very interested in kilts and the world of kilts through a member of another forum. I even have a kilt on the way !! It is the U.S. Army tartan. I have been enjoying immensely this very informative Forum. Thank you for allowing me to participate ! As my thread title suggests, I am living in Guatemala and have been for the last seven years since retirement. I began life in Little Rock, Arkansas a few years ago and have lived and traveled through out much of the United States as well as an all-expenses-paid visit to the old South Vietnam in my younger years.
I do have a tendency to get long winded, so I'll better stop here. Again, thank you all for allowing me to be here, and I look forward to learning much, much more.

Welcome!
I traveled to Guatemala quite a few times during the 80s and 90s and spent a lot of time in Antigua. There was a wonderful guesthouse [whose name I can't recall right now] that served the best black bean soup ON EARTH! Although not the same volume of stuff as Chichicastenango, I felt that the artisan goods were of higher quality.
I miss spending time there. Maybe I'll have a chance to go back again soon.
