    greetings from North Carolina

Greetings all... I'm a kilted newbie stopping in for the first time. I recently started wearing my kilts and am quite enamored with it all... I started investigating my heritage more closely so I could be as 'proper' as possible with my kilt choices and discovered that my lineage (combination of mother's & father's sides) have connections mainly to the Lamonts (last name is White), and quite distant connections to the Stewarts and McLarens. I've not had the occasion to acquire a kilt in the Lamont tartan yet (working on it), but wear the others with equal pride. I'm amazed at the positive reception and camaraderie amongst fellow kilt enthusiasts and the general public. I wore my kilt to the local pub here in town the other night for my birthday and was warmly received. Can't say the same for the weather outside at the time! haha. I'm glad to now be part of the community.

Greetings! I'm a bassist/composer by trade. Electric/upright, all styles. Hence the name.

    Thanks for the welcome!
