    Smile Greetings from Seattle

    Hi All,

I'm a new member. I am anxiously awaiting my first kilt, a 4 yard box pleated one, in an old MacDougall tartan (I'm a McDowell on my mother's side), being made for me by Matthew Newsome. I've always wanted a kilt and I don't really know why it took me this long to order one!

I'm also a piper, and play several other instruments as well. I'm glad to be joining this community!

    Welcome from Ithaca, NY!
I have always tempered my killing with respect for the game pursued. I see the animal not only as a target but as a living creature with more freedom than I will ever have. I take that life if I can, with regret as well as joy, and with the sure knowledge that nature's ways of fang and claw or exposure and starvation are a far crueler fate than I bestow. - Fred Bear

    Welcome Neighbor!

There are a few of us up here, and we occasionally suceed in getting together. Make sure you check the Kilt Night section, and look for WAKOS (Washington Area Kilt something with "O" Society).

Always good to have another piper on board.

That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon
