Greetings from Southampton uk
Hi
Have just joined as everytime I ask a question on Google it always directs me to an answer posted by a learned member of this site. I have owned a kilt for all of two days and apart from trying it on, I have not ventured into the wide world in it yet. Although colleagues at work are imploring me to wear it. Off to the highlands end of August so will no doubt lose my kilt wearing virginity up there. Look forward to reading and perhaps posting my experiences on here.
regards

Hello Simon,
Welcome to XMarks from the middle of Thetford Forest in Norfolk.
My advice would be to put your kilt on and drive to the New Forest and wander round Lyndhurst for a while. Not too far away and no one will know you. You will be able to make any mistakes somewhere where 'friends' won't be able to give you 'helpful advice'.
The other thing is to practice the pleat sweep and sitting down.
Welcome to the Adventure.
Regards
Chas
