Greetings from Southern California

Hello! My name is Mary, my grandparents on my fathers side were both from Scotland.. I follow my fathers side and wear the MacGregor Modern tartan but my husband has found he also has Scottish in him and his family were Douglas so I do wear the Douglas for him now and again at events.

I am the Council Member at Large for Clan Gregor West, I am also the treasurer for my husbands group in Clan Douglas SoCal and do all the event and photo posting for the group kind of a events coordinator..

I love all things Scottish, it's in the blood after all and after talking to many at events apparently it never leaves the blood!

Hope to post many Southern California events on here and possibly some pics Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your group!

I do get to Pleasanton Games sometimes up in N Calif.. but that is as far North I have traveled for a festival. East as far as the Carolina's to Grandfather Mountain Games.

Great fun but it was wee dry being a Dry County at Grandfather Mt games lol Did find where some was hiding for next time though ;)

The Sacramento regional games held in Woodland is also a really nice event. Smaller than Pleasanton, but with plenty of well organized activities and events. Hope to see you there.
