Hailing Y'all from the suburbs of Charlotte, NC
I guess I should throw up my introduction since I've been posting for a month or so, and I registered 2 months ago.
I'm Jake from Rock Hill, SC (which is a 'burb of Charlotte). I purchased my first kilt in June, 06. It is an Amerikilt (khaki), and I love it. I've always wanted a kilt, even in high school, but never got one due to what people might think.
Well, I finally said screw it, and took the plunge. I am very happy that I did.
I'm looking for my next purchase, and I'm getting ready to start on making my first X-Kilt in Tiger stripe camo (wish me luck!)
That's it, that's my story.
Jake
I shut my eyes and turn’d them on my heart.
As a man calls for wine before he fights,
I ask’d one draught of earlier, happier sights,
Ere fitly I could hope to play my part.
Think first, fight afterwards—the soldier’s art:

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
