    Halloooo!

Hey all...I've just been kilt...kilted...quilted...oh hell, I'm makin' a bloody skirt!

Kidding..My wife who is a quilter is helping (read, making) a kilt for me in Redneck Hunting...ie trailcover camo...and we often stumble between "quilt" and "kilt."

Anyway...I am descended from both Clans Keith and Hamilton..so far, Genealogy isn't done yet..there may be more..and Scots being Scots...well, you know. I've been interested in my heritage for a long time, and have wanted a kilt for years, just never got around to it...I liked the Utilikilt, at least in theory...I prefer a more traditional design though..so we're going to make several...the first is my wife feeling her way through making one..the next will be made to the X-kilt design, and I misdoubt we will own a copy of the art of kiltmaking soon...

I guess what triggered me to finally getting started is that I wanted something comfortable to wear while out sailing....and then discovered this community...Love it!
