I too was part of the USMC (reserve) as well as the Air National Guard and I live about 50 miles north of Spokane. I too am a newbie piper but you are furtther along than I am. I am now able to get through Amazing Grace with the chanter and bass drone going.....hey, its a work in progress......give me a holler if you ever want to meet over a beer and swap stories.
