Hello from the Land of 10,000 Lakes

Hi. My name is Gerald and I wanted to introduce myself. I'm living in Minnesota, just west of the twin cities. Though I've always been interested in all things Gaelic,y interest in tartans and kilts came about as I am a Cub Scout leader working on my Wood Badge ticket. I wear the MacLaren tartan at every scouting event and I think it's growing on me! I was talking to a friend of mine about picking a kilt up for formal scouting ceremonies and I started talking about designing a tartan. Lo and behold it's possible! I had no idea really. I've been lurking here for a few days and am impressed with the knowledge here so I figured I should register.
