    Welcome from North of Ann Arbor!!

    Any of the following shops are great fist kilt choices - USAKilts, StillWater Kilts or the FrugalCorner. I have one of each and am very happy for what I paid. I also claim no Scottish heritage. My kilts are a saffron, American Heritage and a Minnesota Tartan.

    Ebay is a good place to look as well, depending on your size.

    Welcome from metro Chicago. You may wish to try Stillwater Kilts; for a bit over $150, you can have one each of the off-the-rack Thrifty, Economy and Standard, different weights and quality.Try them out, get "kilt-comfortable," explore before spending a gob on a wool custom.
