    Hello from Mississippi

Hi everyone - I am a member of two other forums, hey, I don't frequent those a whole lot (I have a life - haha) but "stumbled" across this one several days ago while researching the "highland hornpipe" and so I thought I would sign up. I also have another reason for signing on . . . our band is sponsoring a cruise to the western carribbean (Cozumel/Progresso) and we are running out of time until the deadline so I thought, why not send this out one last time to the other forums and then I remembered seeing this one, so here I am. Whew, that was wordy. Anyway, go to our website and take a looky around and then click on the link on the right side that says piping cruise and you have until November 5th to sign up with Carnival at the current price or you will have to pay more to go with us. For those of you in the cold north or midwest, you may especially want to join us in January to get away from the cold for 6 fun days. We have hired two super professional pipers (sorry drummers, maybe next year) and they are looking forward to having a ball too, offering private lessons and two workshops one day, and two the next (days at sea.) Follow the instructions, call Carnival's toll free number and come join us - this is the second cruise we have taken with piping instructors and we are also hoping to be able to play on board if we get permission from the "powers that be." http://www.fatherofwaters.com/

Our band is also going to be playing down at the coast next month at the Highlands and Islands games so come check that out, too! http://highlandsandislands.org/

As for the Highland Hornpipe, I saw the banner ad on Viper Piper site and it takes me to a site that no longer has a valid information e-mail.

    Bye for now!
If you shoot and miss, at least you gave it a try!
