Hello From Red Deer, Alberta

Hello everyone,

just found this site when I googled Irn Bru. I came to Canada in 1971 from Aberdeen, Scotland. I just spent the last thirty five years on the very rainy north coast of British Columbia (we left Scotland to get away from rain!). Have just moved to sunny Alberta (the whole reason we left BC was to find some sunshine) and I also found a whole lot more of Scotland here in Alberta than I ever did in BC, so that's a bonus.

The Scottish Country Dancers in Red Deer have found me! They want me to wear a kilt - I haven't had a real kilt since I was nine (for highland dancing). Have just discovered the new Pride Of Scotland tartan and I absolutely love it - I think if I have to have a new kilt, I would like to have it made from that tartan! It has my favourite colour in it - purple!
