Hello From Rychard of Dawlish
Hi folks!
I'm REALLY new, my kilt has not been made yet - It's a Black one from Skilt, The London Kilt Company.
After many years of being nagged by the lady with whom I attend Lowender Peran, a Pan-Celtic festival in Perranporth, Cornwall, to dance with her wearing a kilt, I have decided to give her a treat at the next event we go to.
Although I live over the border in Devon, I am descended from an old Cornish family, so a Cornish kilt is the one for me: after much research, I found that the original Cornish kilt was plain Black, so thats what I've gone for.
I will post a picture for all to see, when it arrives.

from a Cornish decendent whose family moved to Michigan for the mining! I'm looking at the Cornish Hunting Tartan as my next kilt, myself, but have considered the black kilt too
Glad to have you here! Now, get your dancing shoes on!!!

Greetings, fellow Cornish descendant,
Cornish Hunting is a lovely tartan, nice and dark! If I ever get a second kilt, I'll go for that, my favourite tie in Cornish Hunting.

from Barrie, Ontario.
Now that you've told us about it, there will also have to be some pictures from the dance!
