    Hello From Scarborough

Hello from not so sunny Scarborough, North Yorkshire. Been following this forum for a while and decided to join. I'm in my forties, and been wearing kilts from time to time for a few years now and am a regular kilted visitor to Scotland. Like a number of people am becoming addicted to kilts.
Keep seeing the posts for kilt nights, but they always seem to be in USA...where are the ones for Scotland ? Would be interested in meeting a few people.
    Adrian

from Chicago. We have occasional kilt nights here. We have an Xmarks 'social group' for kilted folk in Chicago which provides a 'mailing list' for private messages. You might start by selecting a place for a kilt night and proposing it here on the boards.

Ah! A man from one of my favourite parts of England!

    Welcome to the Boards Brother!

We definitely do need more UK meets - my nearest is about 40 miles away which can prove awkward with a young family...

    Hello Adrian,

Welcome to XMarks from the middle of Thetford Forest in Norfolk.

We try to have a XMarker get-together at Harpenden each year and probably Ashbourne next year. We have had meets near Cardiff and Preston. Because most of us have to travel, we generally wait for an 'event'. Of course, if know of an event happening in your area, there is no reason why we couldn't get together.

    Regards

    Chas

    Eh up.

I'm over in Malton fairly often. I'll give you a heads up next time we're getting it on.

See this thread for our last adventure.

Ferintosh Guest House in Dumfries (Google it) is a popular place for meet-ups too. Hosts Robertson and Emma run a couple of Burns Suppers each year which are well worth the journey.
