    Hello from So. Cal.

Just wanted to poke my head in and say hello. I'm not new to wearing kilts, wore one when I was Drum Major for my high school band. That was many years ago. Still have that kilt but it seems to have shrunk over the years. My family and I recently went to the Scottish Highland games here in San Diego and my wife purchased a new kilt for me (still waiting for it to be finished). I bought a Utilikilt for "normal" wear but don't know how often I'll wear it. I'm told that the sight of my hairy legs frighten animals and small children.

    And that's a bad thing????
Just be brave, don your Kilt, and go strut your stuff. My first 'Maiden Voyage' was to Ralphs supermarket. Got only one comment; a woman came up and said how smart I looked.
    Welcome from San Fernando Valley.

    Thanks, Stan.

I was planning on wearing it to my nephew's b-day party today. I'll let you know what kind of reaction I get from the relatives.

Welcome from right down the street (Bay Park)! Check out the Carlsbad Kilt Night coming up this Sunday (thread is here) -- Bob will be debuting his new camo X-Kilt and I will be drinking in the compliments along with a pint or two.

Suggest you wear something underneath if little kids are going to be there - they tend to look up.........

Welcome from Charlotte, North Carolina. I wore my kilt the first time to my niece's first birthday, it went over like a lead ballon with the in-laws
