Hi from Colorado
Greetings from Boulder Colorado! I've been wearing the kilt for about 3 months now - I have 3 Utilikilts: black neotraditional, caramel workmen's, and tan survival. I'm essentially kilted full-time, as I wear the kilt much more often than not.
Yep, I get lots of stares, double-takes, and such (as do you all, I suspect). But I've only had one negative comment so far, and that was yelled from a moving car. A number of times, now, I've had people (all women) actually THANK me for wearing the kilt. They like seeing men in kilts and they like that I have the "whatever it takes" to be myself. I'm big on the "being myself" thing too (see username).
Here's a recent picture with the caramel workmen's kilt. Great for hiking! Then again, what kilt isn't?
