    Hi FROM KIRKCALDY SCOTLAND

    Hi All
just thought I would introduce myself, my name is Gary Lumsden I am an ex regimental kilt maker with 20 years experience. I served an eight year apprenticeship under Len Penrose and Joe Wade (Legends) while serving with the 1st Battalion the Black Watch (RHR). I hold The masters tailors certificate and Highland dress certificate (Distinction) as well as City and Guilds (Distinction). I am passionate about kilt making and I run a small kilt company with my wife, specialising in military kilts, box and knife pleat. I also have a small sub contract supplying regimental kilts to the Army. I enjoy restoring old kilts and am presently working on a ninety year old McKenzie box pleat kilt that belonged to my grandfather. I look forward to chatting to people who believe in keeping the traditional art of kilt making alive.
    Regards
    Gary
