I'm a 20-something of Scottish ancestry. I currently reside in New England.

How I got here:

I traced my heritage back to Perthshire, and my surname comes from the Farquharson clan of nearby Braemar and Inverey. Last June I went to Scotland to do some exploring and adventuring and had the greatest time of my life - I simply can not wait to go back.

I found this board in my quest to know more about the current and past history/culture of the lands of my ancestors. I have learned *lots* just by reading the threads and lurking. This seems to be a great and super-informative board you guys have here, I look forward to becoming a more active part of it.

gpmeakin I see you're from Keene; some of my in-laws live up there. I'm down in big, noisy Boston. Sometimes go up to NH for hiking and star-seeing. It's a good place for motorcycles too.
