Hi Y'all from Texas (US)
Hi everyone!
I've been lurking for a bit. I'm not Scottish, just a fan/interested.
Here's my silly story. It all started with Kerrelyn Sparks' fantasy romance novels. Scottish Highlander vampires- complete with accent, kilt and claymore. Of course these characters are charming, honorable and humorous. Of course this led to my silly obsession with kilts and Scotsmen.
Anyways... Mrs. Sparks (awesome books, if you like fantasy/romance) is having a book signing this Saturday, so... I've decided to go dressed as one of her Highlander warriors (female, though).
I know this forum is a good source of information and everyone seems really friendly and helpful, so... HI EVERYONE!
I'll post my kilt pics when I take them. I'll be semi-modern, since I don't have the "correct" shoes or shirt. I'll be asking for help with my DIY sporran and back (sword) scabbard. But, this is for fun and any tips are very welcome.
Look forward to chatting with y'all
-Jen
