By the way, I really like your "Sherlock Holmes" hat and the Love (?) green tweed jacket (in your avatar). Where did you get them, if you don't mind my asking?

    Thanks for the welcome!

    Thanks for the welcome!

Are you still riding? If so, what do you ride?

About 15 years ago, I took a life-changing, epic journey, riding a Harley FXT from Lexington, KY north to Fargo, ND; then across the border. I rode the Trans-Can all the way to and through the Yukon to Alaska. I took a side cruise through your beautiful city of Toronto.

I'm happy to report to you that I was astounded by the friendliness of every single Canadian I encountered.

    Best regards to you!

As a guy who explored/studied for the permanent diaconate in the Episcopal Church, I really VALUE guys like you who not only achieved broad life experiences before entering the priesthood, but also continued to explore their spiritual frontiers through engaging diverse interests. Thanks for your contributions to the rest of us. I look forward to getting to know you better on this site.

Welcome from sunny eastern North Carolina, I can see Bouge Sound from my office window. As for you really tall guys, be glad you don't have to veiw the world from the opposite side. I have the reverse of your problem at 5'-6.5" with a long torso and short legs (if the legs matched the torso I woul right at 6'-3") it can be very difficult to find any off the rack to fit. This why I got into tailoring and make most my really good stuff myself.

    And once again; Welcome aboard.

First weekend in October is the Reno Celtic Celebration http://www.renoceltic.org/index.html. I found the hat at a antique vendor at the Woodland Highland games http://sacramentoscotgames.org/ a couple of years ago. Scotweb also has them https://www.scotweb.co.uk/mens-wear/...s/country-hats. I purchased the jacket and waistcoat from the kilt society an advertiser here. https://kiltsociety.com/?utm_source=...edium=referral

If you ever make it up this way, let me know. During our Celtic Celebration I'm usually a The Nevada Society of Scottish Clans tent. http://www.nvssc.org/index.htm.
