Waes Hael to the "Great Rabble",

At this time I would like to introduce myself to the forum. I am an American of Scots decent, whose family immigrated to North Carolina during the Ulster Scots migrations, when we were subjects of the crown. I began wearing the kilt and attending Highland Games in the early 1980's. I was also active with Clan Gunn in the US (and was a friend of "Hagar the Horrible) and the UK in the 1980's. I was also one of the founding members of the Memphis Scottish Society. However, by the late 1990's work had become very pressing and I was no longer active. My working career has been in education and law enforcement. I have an interest in all things "Norse"- as we know several clans are descended from the "Vikings"- including Clan Gunn. I have typically worn the Gunn tartan or the Black Watch tartan and look forward to spending more time with Kith and Kin.
