Smile Kiltguy in Seattle since 2000

Though technically I've been signed up with this forum since 2007 I realized today that somehow I missed officially introducing myself.

My name is Jeffrey Shilling and I'm a themed experience producer for Epic Odyssey, my own company based in Seattle, Washington. Back in 2000, for fun, I created a kilt party to coincide with Tartan Day that I named the Kilt & Mini Bash that I hoped would attract the coeds I hung out with to attend in kilts ~ which it did. Over the years my little party outgrew my house, turning into a full-fledged event attracting 100's of kilt enthusiasts from all over North America, sponsors, musicians etc.

I hope my post does not sound salesy, as I do not believe this to be the place to sell things, though as I am social catalyst and what I do is bring together crafts people with the public I'd like to mention having had the opportunity to align myself with several kilt makers over time including Neokilt, Utilikilt, NorthChannel Kilts and Sportkilt and welcome kilt makers to contact me about possibly working together as those who've been involved with my events in the past have done well in advance and when displayed at our event our featured kilt makers have historically sold 30 - 40 kilts that evening!

Thus far I've worn 5 different kilts and purchased 4 of them (listed on my profile) and expect to add 1 per year and hopefully a Prince Charlie jacket later this year.

To learn more about me and my April event, I invite you to click through to my Xmarks profile and follow the link there to my event site as I don't know if its OK to post a link to it here.

P.S. If you happen to be of Celtic origin and/or own a Celtic-themed bar and are located in Western Washington please email me as I'm in the early stages of producing a Celtic kilted sporting event possibly for summer 2010 plus a week long Tartan Day Festival for 2011 and would enjoy having you involved if possible.
