    Kilts on Harleys!

Not easy but, I've done it.

Anyone else have advise for how to do this.

I have a Utilikilt survivor with the Modesty flap buttoned.

It still kinda goes flying everywhere.

    My advise is Don't
I've been riding for over 20 years and I've never rode in a kilt, or in shorts. This question comes up every spring, and I always give the same answer, it's not your ability you should be worried about it is the car beside you.

I found out that the Utilikilts Workman's modesty snap is the same size as the snaps on those vest holder closed dealies with snaps on both ends. Always thought one of those vest holder closed dealie straps could be used on the Workman's modesty snaps to give a bit more freedom, but still hold the klt down, when riding. Course, won't work on the Survival.

And though its pretty risky, have seen many posts and pics about riding kilted over the years.

My little brother has been on bikes since about age 8 and has over 25 years in as a motor cop and he still rides recreationally in flip flops and shorts....course he's pretty confident and still wears a helmet. Only had to lay it down a few times over the years...

He may be crazy on his police motor, but he just won his local VFW's police officer of the year award for winning a shoot out with a bad guy.

I've got him into pareos, but no kilt yet...some day...working on the clan angle...you may see a proud Macdonald kilt flying from a police motor ere long.

Walcome frae Canadae! I agree with McMurdo, bare legs on a bike looks dangerous to me.

    from South Wales UK!

I have been known to ride in shorts but kilts are too valuable to risk!

from coastal North Carolina. Not a rider, but I would not ride a bicycle in a kilt, let alone a Harley.

    Welcome.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
