looking for photos from the MacPherson Musuem in Newtonmore

Hi there well planning a trip to Newtonmore Scotland to see the MacPherson musuem as well as other sights. I am from Nova Scotia Canada but now live in Ireland so it will be much easier to make the trip. My maiden name is MacPherson and I am told that I am a direct decendant to the chieftant MacPherson. My mother and father visited the museum and saw a photo that I am suspose to resemble.. If anyone has any photos of inside the museum and photos of people would love to see

    Thanks
    Janis

The clan museum has a virtual tour, with pictures of its displays here. Oh, and welcome to XMarks.

    Best regards,

I may be able to offer a bit of info on the Macpherson Clan. Lact October, while in Edinburg, we stayed at a B & B called Number 21, and the owner's name is Sandra Macpherson. She is also an author, and has written some very good books about her time living at the Macpherson family estate of Glentrium. The titles of the books are "A Strange and Wild Place" and "People of the Wildcat Country", both by Sandra Macpherson. You might try Amazon.com to purchase them, although at one time they were only on the UK Amazon site, not the US amazon site.
