    New guy reporting in from Fredericksburg, VA

    'Evening Folks!
    Just though i would introduce myself briefly so you'll have a little idea who this new guy is. I recently moved to Fredericksburg, VA from Oceanside, CA. I am a Sergeant of Marines, currently stationed aboard MCB Quantico. I am originally from West Michigan, Grand Rapids area for anybody who knows where that is.

    I found Xmarks on accident whilst shopping around for a "contemporary" Kilt for casual wear. my "Kilting" started off with a living history group around 10 years ago. My group had chosen the voyageur, predominantly French fur traders who plied the waterways of the north east and Midwest in the early 1800s. Scots were another nationality that was pretty well represented in that period/occupation and being of 1/3 Scottish ancestry i figured why not go for it. the first kilts i wore were what we referred to as "great Kilts"; just 8+ yards of wool pleated and wrapped around you every time you put it on. Those got me hooked and it went from there.
