New to kilts and the culture.
Hello, I would just like to introduce myself. I just joined the forum, I have been looking around and have come across your forum a few time in my searches about things for kilts, so I thought I would join up. I am working with a budget, so I cannot afford a kilt made for me, so I have made two of my own kilts, and being an inexperienced with any kind of sewing, I just used cheap materials from the local fabric stores. The first one that I made, turned out.. okay, but I really would not want to wear it around to much, it just doesn't sit or flow right. The second one, is a lot better, although not perfect, but I have to say.. its only the second kilt I have ever made.. and basically only the second thing I have really sewn.. I finished my kilt just in time for Halloween.. so I did wear it around yesterday for Halloween.. you dont get as many crazy looks when everyone's dressed up, but I do plan on making and wearing more kilts for everyday use.

That is my second attempt at kilts, I feel its not that bad, its not the best, I know I can make some improvements on it. But my next project is to design and make my own modern style kilt, (utili-kilt), although I have to do a lot of research on the design and figure out what I want to do with it, so it will probably take me a lot longer to design then it has taken me to make the two kilts I have.
