    New member from Switzerland

    Hi everyone,

I'm an expatriate Philadelphian whose been living in Switerland for the last 15 years.

I'm planning to make my first kilt purchase after wanting one for more than 30 years.

I haven't made a final decision yet, but I want to thank everyone for the wealth of information on the board. It's helped me narrow it down to 2-3 makers.

    Sully,

    WELCOME!

Buy them both! You know you can't have just one!

Again welcome to this strange, but addictive place.

I've narrowed it down to a Stillwater standard in either the Nightwatch or Nightstalker tartan or a Pittsburgh Kilts model in brushed twill.

I'm leaning to the modern kilt at the moment. I think that it might be more appropriate for how I'm likely to wear it at the moment and I'd like to support a local maker.

In any event, I'll probably get the other for my second kilt (if it comes to that).

I have the same problem with watches and I can foresee the same thing with kilts.

A few months ago I needed to buy one new watch and decided to research various models on the internet first. Big mistake.

I stumbled onto the Poor Man's Watch Forum and now I have half a dozen and increasing.

I've also managed to infect my father with the bug, too! He had been wearing the same watch since about 1975. He now has more than eight.
