New XMarks member from Texas

Hello to everyone. I just realized I've been posting here for a few days, and I never even properly introduced myself. Please forgive my poor manners

I am from Pennsylvania, but I now call Texas my home. I've been in the United States Air Force for Five years now, with one left to go on my enlistment.

I have had several sets relatives (great-grandparents mostly) who came over from Scotland, and Clan Stewart is the one I am most closely related to. I am very proud to be a Stewart, even though I do not actually carry the name. I have been wearing kilts for several years now (four if I can count correctly) and have been a member of the Clan Stewart Society in America for almost a year. I attend the highland games in Salado, TX as well as the San Antonio Highland Games, although I usually work at the San Antonio games (I was one of the stage managers last year).

I am learning to play the bagpipes, and I also play the bodhran and the Irish whistle. I am part of a Celtic band in San Antonio called "Sally's Garden", and I hope to be playing the bagpipes for them before too long.

Welcome aboard from western North Carolina, where there's a fresh 1/2" of snow.

Welcome from Fort Worth! Your band should venture north to Arlington in June for our Scottish Festival or to Fort Worth in October for our Celtic Festival.
