Hi all,

I am in the process of researching my first kilt purchase (which will be worn at my wedding next August). I thought this would be an excellent place to get some tips from the pros. I've been lurking for about a week and have already learned a ton. I always thought a kilt was a kilt. Boy was I ignorant! I never imagined there were so many options (4yd, 5yd, 8yd, 10oz, 13oz, 16oz, knife pleat, box pleat, pleat to stripe... it's all making my head spin!)

from Boston, Massachusetts. Congratulations on the upcoming ceremony. I do not know of what threads you have viewed, but there are several of kilted weddings. Please ask all the questions you wish. BTW, get a lot of pictures of the wedding and post them here. We have a saying if there are no pictures----it did not happen!
