Newby on Whidbey
I am new to the world of kilts but I'll never go back. I have been an anglophile for many years but never had the chance to wear one. I remarried two years ago, my new wife is more liberal than my first and has Irish roots, as do I. So I wore the full, formal kilt (in black watch) for the wedding, and spent two wonderful weeks in Ireland as a honeymoon.
Now two years later, I actually own my first kilt. My clan is supposed to be Buchanan, but I really dont like the tartan. After some research in the advice forum I decided to go with a Gunn tartan, which I actually like and purchased nearly ten yards of beautiful worsted.
I lucked out and happened upon a student of mine, (I work at a community college) who was a tailor at Nordstroms. She owed me a favor and made a terriffic eight yard kil and a fly. I have worn it once to work and to the local Highland games and can't wait to wear it again. I have a sporran, kilt hose and a sgian dubh, I am still working on a nice tweed jacket and vest and maybe a pair of broghes.

Welcome,
You could be kilted daily at work at the college, but you'll need more kilts...

Clearly, he needs more kilts, whatever he does about being kilted at work.
