Not a newbie, but a relocatee to Louisville

Well, finally completed the move to Louisville from Phoenix, although we still own a home there for sale. Settling into the job and finding our way around the boxes to take up life again in our new digs.

Any other Louisvilleans out there shout out and maybe we can have a kilt night sometime soon. Give me an excuse to wear mine since my wife is not fond of it.

How do you say "howdy y'all" in gaelic anyway?

Welcome! Just set something up after the 15th and I'm there! Although I wish I could attend the Irish fest on the 13 and 14th. I used to work for the guy who runs it.

Hey there neighbor. What part of Louisville do you live? I live in the Southwest section (Pleasure Ridge Park). I know Hospitaller has set up a couple of kilt nights. He lives just across the bridge in New Albany, Indiana.

I am out in Goshen in the horse country up east of town, but work downtown so I drive there every day. Louisville is such a decent sized town that you could get across town pretty quick, so I can make gatherings just about anywhere, as long as the wife lets me out of the house (or brings the kid along with us).

Will have to look into the Irish fest mentioned above---was not aware of it as I have yet to settle into the local scene yet. Not working this weekend so sounds like a strong possibility.

Ah OK, Goshen is only about 30-35 minutes away from me. With the 4 main highways we have, you can be anywhere within a relative decent amount of time.

Hmmm . . the "Highlands" has a few places that we could meet up sometime. That's about mid point for the both of us. Although, there are other places in and around Louisville to go.

As a veteran of some 15 moves, you have my sympathy. Also congratulations on surviving the move! I'm not that familiar with Louisville, but have passed through it many times goring from hither to yon. From one river town to another
