    An Official Hello

    Hi All,

After a few years of having kilted friends in the Ancient Order of Hibernians (yes, I'm Irish and not a Scot) I took the plunge this year. My wife agreed to buy me a kilt for a Christmas present but wanted me to spend the money for an 8yd family tartan and "do it right the first time". I now have a very nice traditional MacDonald Modern which according to my research is also used by the Kelly's in Ireland. In the mean time I have also purchased 2 more kilts from SWK - an economy Black Watch for games and festivals and a standard Black Stewart for every day events. If I get this right, I am here with my kilted friends before the Albany, NY St. Patrick's Day parade. I'm 3rd from the right in my Black Stewart.

I look forward to the roads ahead.

    Chris

Welcome to the forum from another Irishman? (at least that's where my father immigrated from) The Irish American society says that my family from Northern Ireland is really Scottish.
