Old to the Kilt; New to the Forum
Hello;
I am "Jack Daw" (not my real name). I live in Houston and I'm also a piper. I've been wearing the kilt since the year 2000 and that was the year I began hosting a tent for my clan association. I enjoy wearing the kilt and so do the ladies, I'm happy to say. Although, I would not describe myself as any sort of player.
I've been a piper since 2002 and have accumulated six kilts over the years. In addition to my two clan tartans, I wear: the MacGregor; the Campbell of Breadalbane; the Cameron of Erracht; and, the Black Watch. I also have an assortment of sporrans; and. my trademark is to wear red hose, which are difficult to find.
Based on a scanning of the various threads and topics, I look forward to some interesting discussions.
Jack

from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I like red hose too from time to time, there are a few places you can get them now.

How difficult is it to get into piping, and how difficult to play (if you have previous music experience)?
