Out of the shadows...
Hello everyone;
Just a quick note to formally introduce myself. I have actually been a member on the site for a while now but have never piped in, just another one lurking in the shadows….
I am an American with strong ties to Scotland, and I live in the Seattle area. I have been kilted for many years (hence my online name, given to me by friends and family). I have been looking for an opportunity to meet some of the members of the local WACKO group, and last evening it finally happened.
I attended the Seattle “Gung Haggis Fat Choy” celebration, and as destiny would have it, I was unknowingly seated at the same tables where members of the WACKO group were enjoying their evening together. I introduced myself amid the noise and excitement of the event, and after their invitation I now look forward to joining them again in the future to become better acquainted.
So there you have it, and thank you all for this interesting and entertaining site. It’s a great opportunity to share not only our love of the kilt but also a connection with many folk both near and far who would appear to be much like myself.
Cheers,
Dave

from Chicago. As a kilt wearer who recently organized a Lunar New Year celebration, I find the Gung Haggis Fat Choy event very intriguing.
