As requested,
Hallo to the XTMS community!
I always feel odd with these sort of posts... I guess it comes from being a forum admin myself at a few sites. Seeing all the examples of what not to do makes one a bit self-conscious, I guess.
Let's see, my name is William and I work for a major wireless telecom as a phone jockey (Customer Service Rep). My wife and step-kid are really the center of my life. And, I'm happy to say that my 16 year old actually likes it when I kilt up; the wife (a daughter of the MacLaine of Duart) would rather I kilt up than not.
I have a few of the "economy" kilts (poly viscous), but I am working on getting some wool traditionals. Hard to get when you have to save for college and have money on hand to snag that NOS part for a restore job on an antique bike when you find it. Other hobbies include woodworking, gardening (I have a odd plot though....all poisonous herbs surrounded by thistles), singing...
Anyhow, I have been looking for a place to talk about the shared interest, and well until I stumbled on this site, I've seen a lot of argumentative discussion boards. I've been lurking about for a few days and I have to say, I am strongly impressed with the membership and administration of XTMS. I like the fact this place has room for both the ultra-traditionalist and the modern casual wearer.
One more for the parade.
